چکیده
The iron and steel industry is a high-energy consumption high-pollution industry. Energy recovery in its process of great significance. Converter gas an important by-product the production. It difficult to take effective measures recover waste heat from converter due flammability. In this paper, new technology proposed based on by filled bulb regenerator. mathematical model transfer flow compound regenerator for containing dust established. effects diameter concentration are discussed. results show that temperature declined 132 °C, efficiency was above 90% using system. Resistance loss increased 25% dust; with increase initial dust, rate reinforced. At entrance regenerator, dust’s more obvious, 4.5–8.5%. can provide theoretical basis method.

This research proposes the combination of a dual-loop non-organic Rankine cycle (DNORC) with an internal combustion engine to increase the output power of the recovery system by focusing on the increase in the energy input and system efficiency. In doing so, it investigates the strategy of increasing the mean effective temperature of heat addition in the high-temperature Rankine cycle (HTRC) (t...
متن کاملEnergy Savings Potential through Waste Heat Recovery from Flue Gas for Post Combustion Co2 Capture
Flue gas from a plant using fossil fuels contains CO2. Thus power/process plants using fossil fuels contribute to climate change if CO2 in flue gas is not captured. The process of CO2 capture from flue gas is called „postcombustion‟ CO2 capture. Existing plants may be retrofitted with this process to minimize CO2 emission. Amine solutions are mostly used for this process to scrub the flue gas. ...
متن کاملAn algorithm for optimal waste heat recovery from chemical processes
We describe a computer algorithm designed to calculate the optimal energy extraction in the form of heat used for steam raising from chemical processes. The concepts are illustrated using chemical plant stream data in a process with multiple distillation columns. Pinch analysis is first applied to find the grand composite curve (GCC) of the problem, which is then used by the algorithm to determ...
